Three men have been arrested after a cross-county car chase lasting for over 100km.
It happened after gardaí investigating several burglaries in the Blackrock area of south Dublin noticed a car acting suspiciously in Tallaght.
The chase began after the Garda Air Support Unit spotted the same car at the Sandyford junction of the M50.
It continued for over 100km, finally ending on the M1 outside Dundalk.
Gardaí later recovered property from one Blackrock property on the M50.
Investigators said four people abandoned the car on the north side of the County Louth town and fled into nearby fields.
Three men, one in his 20s and two in their late teens, were arrested a short distance away.
They are being questioned on suspicion of burglary at Dundalk Garda Station.
Gardaí are still searching for a fourth person.
During the chase, Gardaí recovered property from one Blackrock property on the M50.
Investigators said they believe the car was stolen in the UK.
One garda was taken to hospital with minor injuries; however, he has since been released.
