Herbal Cannabis worth around €500,000 has been seized at Dublin Port.
The drugs were found yesterday when officers stopped and searched a shipment which had arrived from Spain.
The 25 kgs of herbal cannabis was discovered with the assistance of detector dog Robbie.
Meanwhile, in a separate search at Portlaoise Mail Centre 3.4kgs of herbal cannabis worth around €68,000 was seized.
The drugs were concealed in two separate parcels labelled as ‘yoga cushions’ and ‘herbal tea’.
They were destined for addresses in Dublin and Tipperary.
Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
