Illegal cigarettes & cannabis have been seized following separate searches in Kildare and Dublin.
The cigarettes worth more than €1.6 million were seized in a Newhall building in Kildare yesterday.
They represent a potential loss to the Exchequer of over €1.3 million.
A man in his sixties has been questioned about the find.
In a separate search, cannabis thought to be worth €10,000 was found in Dublin today.
A 22-year-old man was arrested after Gardai seized the drugs at a house in Coolock.
Investigations are ongoing.
