It's important a resolution is found between stakeholders in the Ryanair pilots dispute for the sake of passengers.
Fianna Fáil's transport and tourism spokesperson Marc MacSharry says the strike by the airlines UK pilots later this month and next is worrying, particularly given it's at the end of the tourist season here in Ireland.
They're to strike on the 22nd and 23rd of August, and from the 2nd until the 4th of September in a row over pay, while the result of a ballot of Irish pilots is due tomorrow.
Marc MacSharry is urging both sides in the dispute to come together to find a solution: "Even if it was just the UK ones it's going to be disruptive for passengers here in Ireland as well. I would hope and acknowledging of course that this is a private industry but I would hope all the relevant stakeholders would come together and engage in meaningful dialogue and find a resolution as quickly as possible."
