Taoiseach Enda Kenny says he is hopeful agreement can be reached on Budget 2014 this evening.
He was speaking to reporters outside Government Buildings ahead of this evening's cabinet meeting.
It's thought most of the measures have been agreed, although the highest spending departments, Health - and Social Protection are still trying to keep the biggest possible allocations.
It was revealed yesterday that the budget is part of the process of exiting the bailout - which will happen on December 15th.
Mr. Kenny said despite the fact that 'serious business' is still up for discussion, he is confident a collective decision can be made.
