Cabinet has approved the easing of restrictions throughout the summer months.
Here is what Taoiseach Micheal Martin confirmed this evening:
From Wednesday, June 2nd hotels and B&B's can welcome guests back again.
On June 7th, pubs and restaurants can start serving customers outdoors, but they will have to wait until July 5th to have customers inside their building.
Also from June 7th:
Gyms, swimming pools, leisure centres can reopen for individual training only.
Cinemas and theatres can reopen.
The number of guests attending a wedding celebration/reception can increase to 25.
A maximum of 100 people can be allowed into organised outdoor events in the majority of venues.
200 people will be allowed in to outdoor stadiums or venues with a minimum capacity of 5000.
July & August
July 5th:
Indoor services in restaurants and bars can resume
Indoor events will recommence, with a maximum of 100 attendees in larger venues and 50 in all others
Indoor exercise and sports activities will return.
There will be further relaxation on visits to private homes
Up to 50 guests can attend wedding receptions.
July 19th:
Ireland will adopt the EU travel green cert which will allow people to travel abroad.
August 5th:
A further increase in numbers attending indoor events, with 200 in larger venues and 100 in all others.
A further increase in number attending outdoor events.
The 50% capacity restriction on public transport will be lifted,
Up to 100 guests will be able to attend weddings.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin said "After the trauma of the last 15 months, we are finally taking definite steps towards enjoying normal times with friends and loved ones again. We are almost back to a point where we can just enjoy the ordinary, extraordinary moments in our lives."
He also said the vaccine registration portal is expected to open for people over 40 next week.
Micheal Martin told the country that almost 100% of our citizens over the age of 70 are now fully vaccinated and that this is unsurpassed in the European Union.
