Businesses Flooded Out Could Get €100,000 Towards Repairs
Businesses flooded out by Storm Babet may be able to get up to €100,000 for repairs.
Ministers are looking at an expanded humanitarian relief scheme as the current one only goes to €20,000.
Damage to homes and businesses is still being assessed, particularly in parts of Waterford as well as east Cork.
The impact of the rains brought by Storm Babet was particularly strongly felt around Glanmire and Midleton.
Clean-up operations are continuing in parts of the south-east today after heavy rain in the area.
There was a status orange rain alert in Kilkenny, Waterford and Wicklow.
Flooding was reported in each of those counties as well as Carlow yesterday.
