The Minister for Finance has confirmed that next week's Budget will have cut backs totalling 2.5 billion
That's significantly less than the 3.1 billion euro being originally demanded by the Troika.
Michael Noonan says the EU and IMF are happy with the headline figures being sent to the cabinet for approval this morning.
He says the rest of the deficit can be made up with the savings the Government has already recorded: Minister Noonan spoke to reporters on his way into this mornings cabinet meeting.
