A British teenager has gone blind and deaf after only eating junk food for the majority of his life.
The boy from Bristol - who was described as an extremely fussy eater - admitted having a diet of chips, crisps, white bread, ham and sausages.
Physicians found vitamin deficiencies, reduced bone mineral density and low levels of essential nutrients.
He first went to the doctors at age 14, complaining of tiredness.
At that time he was diagnosed with vitamin B12 deficiency and put on supplements, but he did not stick with the treatment or improve his poor diet.
