The British Prime Minister has said she "profoundly regrets" the decision the house has taken.
Theresa May says the deal she has negotiated is the best and the only deal available.
There will now be another vote in Parliament tomorrow on whether the UK should leave the EU without a deal on the 29th of March.
A spokesperson for European Council President Donald Tusk has reacted to this evening's vote:
With only 17 days left to 29 March, today's vote has significantly increased the likelihood of a 'no-deal' Brexit.
