After more than three-and-a-half years since the UK voted to leave the EU, Brexit is finally happening.
Boris Johnson will deliver a message at Downing Street later, where he'll say it's the "dawn of a new era."
Britain formally departs the bloc at eleven o'clock tonight, before entering an 11-month transition period.
That means the UK will continue following EU rules while a trade deal is negotiated.
I am sad to see our British friends leave the EU. We will act within our mandate to ensure Brexit causes as little disruption as possible for the citizens, employers and financial markets of the euro area. We look with confidence towards the future, united as Europeans. pic.twitter.com/fpkUVFJANS
