A 14-year-old boy has died, and another is in a critical condition in hospital, after a crash in Co Kerry.
It happened on the Ross Road in Killarney at around 1:10am this morning.
The driver of the car, a 14-year old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, a boy of a similar age, has been taken to University Hospital Kerry with serious injuries.
The road remains closed this morning for technical examinations.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Gardaí.
Gardaí say the car which crashed had an "interaction" with officers before the incident, and the matter has been referred to GSOC.
It's the second road death in Co Kerry in less than 24 hours.
A motorcyclist in his 30s died in hospital after a crash yesterday evening.
It happened at around 8pm at Listry Bridge between Killarney and Milltown.
He was taken to University Hospital Kerry where he has since passed away.
The road is closed for technical examinations and any witnesses are asked to contact Gardaí.
