A man's body has been discovered in Carrickmacross in Co Monaghan.
Gardai made the discovery on land surrounding a premises on Kingscourt Road at Lossets at around 8am today, following a call from a member of the public.
The scene is currently preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau will carry out a technical exam.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified, and the results of the post-mortem exam will determine the course of the investigation.
