Gardai are investigating after the bodies of a man and a woman were found in a house in Co Cavan.
The couple were discovered in Cloverhill, near Belturbet last night but it’s believed their deaths are not suspicious.
At around 8 o’clock last night, gardai and the emergency services called to a house in the rural village of Cloverhill.
A man and a woman in their 40s who lived there for a number of years hadn’t been seen for a few days.
Gardai found their bodies inside the house and their deaths are being treated as unexplained.
Their bodies remain at the scene and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Post mortem exams will be carried out today and this will determine the course of the garda investigation.
But initial inquiries indicate no signs of a break-in or that any foul play was involved in the couple’s deaths
