Police have launched a murder inquiry after two bodies were discovered in a flat in Belfast yesterday.
The victims have been named as 37-year-old Frances Murray and 47-year-old Joseph Dutton.
Their bodies were found in a flat in Kinnaird Close in north Belfast at about 1pm yesterday.
Both had suffered stab wounds and, although their post-mortem examinations have yet to take place, the PSNI has started a murder inquiry.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder last night and he remains in police custody.
The PSNI is renewing its appeal for information.
They believe some form of altercation took place in the flat where the victims were found.
The police are also trying to find a bag of blood-soaked clothing that they believe was discarded in the local area.
