Billboards have been spotted in Dublin encouraging healthcare workers to move to Australia.
The Department of Health in Victoria, has taken out advertising space aimed recruiting doctors and nurses.
IMO President Dr Clive Kilgallen, who tweeted a photo of one of the billboards on Hill Street, not far from the Mater Hospital, said "the new HSE winter plan will be impossible to implement if our staff are Australia".
Dr Kilgallen says "we really need good conditions for our staff to stay".
Earlier this week Health Minister, Stephen Donnelly, announced details of the HSE's Winter Plan, which aims to recruit 600 additional healthcare staff, including 51 emergency department consultants.
