A bar in Italy is charging €2 to cut customers' sandwiches in half.
The extra charge at the bar on Lake Como brought the price of a veggie toasted sandwich and crisps to €9.50.
The owner of Bar Pace in Gera Lario on the lake's northern shore defended the decision saying additional requests 'have a cost'.
The customers detailed in a online review on TripAdvisor how they had to pay for their request for their shared toasted sandwich to be cut in half. They included a photo of the receipt from June which included a charge for 'diviso a meta' of €2.
The story was first reported in local publication La Provincia di Como at the weekend.
