Ireland is celebrating its best-ever day in film with 14 nominations at this year's Oscars.
It includes nine awards for Banshees of Inisherin which is set off the west coast of Ireland.

The movie directed by Martin McDonagh and starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon follows Pádraic (Farrell) who is devastated when his buddy Colm (Gleeson) suddenly puts an end to their lifelong friendship.

Colin Farrell heads into the Oscars already having won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, but will have stiff Irish competition from Paul Mescal.

Barry Keoghan and Brendan Gleeson also go head to head in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Unfortunately there's no Best Donkey category, but there's no doubt Jenny from Banshees of Inisherin would win.
