Businesses in Ballybofey will be paid by Donegal County Council if they allow customers to spend a penny in their toilets.
It follows years of complaints over the lack of public toilets in the town.
Businesses could receive a further subsidy if they can also offer baby changing facilities.
The first business in the town to sign up to the scheme is Balfor Arts Centre, which operates out of Butt Hall.
