An attempt's been made to steal an ATM in Co. Louth.
It happened at 4:50 am on Irish Street in Ardee.
A digger was used to remove the ATM from the wall of the building, causing extensive damage.
A 4x4 was subsequently found burnt out a short distance from the scene.
It's unknown at this stage if any cash was taken and no arrests have been made.
The main street is closed to traffic and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
