Arrest Warrants Issued For Israeli And Hamas Leadership
Arrest warrants have been issued for the Israeli Prime Minister as well as a Hamas leader.
The ruling from the International Criminal Court is for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity following the outbreak of the conflict since October 7th last year.
Hamas leader Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al Masri also known as Mohammed Deif is beleived to be one of the mastermind behind the Hamas attacks on Israel more than a year ago.
He has had an arrest warrant issued.
So has Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister as well as his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
Neither Israel, or the United States are members of the International Criminal Court.
Israel has rejected previous court orders and denies commiting war crimes on Palestinians in Gaza.
Around 1,200 Israelis were killed in the Hamas attacks on October 7th with more than 200 people taken hostage by the group.
Since then, more than 43,000 people have been killed in Gaza as Israel bombards the Palestinian territory from the air and continues a ground invasion.
