Apple has confirmed a case of coronavirus at its offices in Cork.
An email sent to staff at the company's European Headquarters in Hollyhill says the person left the office when they started to feel unwell.
They are now under medical supervision.
The company, which employs more than 6,000 people in Cork, says it is working closely with the HSE following the case.
The Health service believes the risk to other employees is low, however a number of employees have been asked to self isolate for 48 hours as a precaution.
Apple say deep clean protocols are being deployed across all office areas and the building remains open as normal.
