Animal Bars Set to Be Discontinued
Nestlé is set to discontinue Animal Bars after 60 years.
The chocolate treat launched in 1963 includes a fun game on the inside of the wrapper.
It also has two animals moulded on to the bar itself.
The company has said sales have "steadily declined" over the past few years.
On Twitter, now X, the company has apologised for the disappointment, in reply to Animal Bar fans.
Meanwhile, the company will also be axing Caramac bars for the same reason.
The company said: "We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Caramac. There has been a steady decline in its sales over the past few years and we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it.
"We know fans will be disappointed to see it go, but this change will enable us to focus on our best-performing brands, as well as develop exciting new innovations to delight our consumers’ tastebuds."
