The cost of the new National Children's Hospital has gone up by another estimated €51 million.
Inflation has hit the project with a significant further cost to the State.
The Hospital Development board has estimated inflation to run at more than 10% on the new National Children's Hospital.

This triggers a clause whereby the State picks up the bill for costs, if inflation is above 4%.
The builder, BAM, has also put in claims for extra costs amounting to €585 million, but the development board believes there's no way that amount will be paid out.
The completion date is now set for January 2024.
The project was originally meant to be complete by this August.
