Nearly three out of every four children are being negatively affected by the cost of living crisis.
A study by Barnardos found 37% of families have had to cut down or do without basic essentials in the past six months.
The children's charity also found 43% of parents couldn't afford to buy new clothes for their kids.
Seven in ten parents said they sometimes or always worried about not being able to provide their children with daily essentials such as food, heat or electricity. Only one in ten said they never worry.
Stephen Moffat, National Policy Manager with Barnardos, says an increasing number of families are struggling to provide children with food, heat or electricity.
"The large proportion of families had to, had to cut back or go without essentials, such as food, heating, electricity, clothing.
"Parents have said that they've had to cut back on their children's social activities, and unfortunately what we're finding is that more and more parents are finding themselves always worried.
"Nearly 20% of parents said they were 'always' worried about being able to fly their children with essentials".
28% of parents said they had cut back on or gone without medical care, medicines, therapy or health assessments over the past six months due to rising prices.
