Almost 90% of dog owners would like to see dogs at their workplace.
Research carried out by Dogs Trust, found 94% would bring their dog on holiday in Ireland, if the destination was dog friendly and 88% would like to see dogs at work if their workplace was suitable.
The survey also found 81% of non-dog owners would like to see dogs at work if their workplace.
The research by the animal welfare charity to mark 'Dog Friendly Ireland Day' also reported a huge increase in demand for dog friendly services, especially public transport, accommodation and the option to bring dogs to suitable workplaces.
Dogs Trust has developed an online assessment tool for owners to better understand their dogs’ behaviours and decide whether they would be happy visiting dog friendly places.
