AIB is suspending its plans to introduce a fee for using contactless payments.
The bank was due to introduce a one cent charge per tap from May 30th.
In the light of the current Covid-19 outbreak, AIB is suspending the planned introduction of the contactless fee.

These fees and charges will be applied to customers account at the end of every quarter
It announced the plans earlier this week.
However, in a statement released this evening AIB says it is suspending the fee's introduction in light of the current Covid-19 outbreak.
