There are no major delays to report at Dublin Airport so far on Wednesday morning as industrial action by pilots gets underway.

Members of IALPA began an indefinite work-to-rule at midnight in an ongoing pay dispute.

They won’t be working any overtime or accepting changes to their rosters. Pilots are also planning a eight-hour work stoppage on Saturday.

270 flights have been cancelled by Aer Lingus as a result of the industrial action.

In the latest round of cancellations, Aer Lingus cancelled a further 50 flights on the 1st and 2nd of July, with the airline saying it was implementing the cancellations is to "enable them to protect as many services as possible for as many of our customers as possible".

Representatives from the pilots' union and Aer Lingus management attended separate meetings at the Labour Court on Tuesday to give an update on the current situation. The Labour Court has told both sides that it cannot intervene at this time.

IALPA is seeking a pay increase of close to 24% for Aer Lingus pilots.
