Pilots at Aer Lingus are being balloted for strike action - to lend their support to a hundred Aer Arann pilots due to strike next week.
Earlier this week, staff at Aer Arann told the company they are taking industrial action next Tuesday and Wednesday and again on the 24th and 25th of this month in a dispute over pay.
12 hundred Aer Lingus Pilots who are members of IALPA - are being balloted to gauge their support of strike action in solidarity of Aer Arann workers.
The results of that ballot are expected next Friday.
