Pilots at Aer Lingus have voted to accept a pay deal from the Labour Court.
Irish Airline Pilots Association (IALPA) members at the airline voted to accept the deal by 85% with a 96% turnout.
In a statement responding to the result of the vote by IALPA members, Aer Lingus said it "welcomes the outcome of the ballot which has accepted the Labour Court recommendation.”
It puts an end to an ongoing pay dispute between pilots and management at the airline. Two weeks of industrial action and a work-to-rule by pilots led to the cancellation of 610 Aer Lingus flights.
Industrial action was suspended after the IALPA executive recommended for the Labour Court deal be accepted, and while they waited for the outcome of the vote by members.
Aer Lingus pilots have voted to accept the pay proposal recommended by the Labour Court.
Pilot salaries will be 19% higher by the end of the last pay increase applied.
Thank you to our peers in @IFALPA & across the IAG group represented by @BALPApilots & @sepla_pilotos ! #Unity— IALPA (@IALPA) July 23, 2024
An electronic ballot, which opened last Thursday, closed at 9am this morning.
IALPA was initially looking for a pay rise of almost 24%, however, the Labour Court recommended a 17.75% rise over four years to the end of 2026.
Aer Lingus has already indicated it will accept the Labour Court's recommendation.
