A man has been shot dead in Lucan, in Dublin.
The man, who was in his 40s, was killed in the front garden of a house at Foxdene, Dublin 22.
Gardai say a number of shots were fired at around 2 o'clock this afternoon.

The scene of the shooting is currently preserved pending an examination by Garda Crime Scene Examiners.
The man's body remains at scene.
