Gardai have launched a murder investigation following a fatal shooting in Dublin last night.
It happened at around ten to midnight outside the Killarney Court apartments, just off Portland Row.
The body of an unidentified man was removed from the scene and taken to the city morgue where a postmortem examination was carried out.
Gardai have detained a 31 year old man at Mountjoy Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Earlier, Gardai arrested a 20 year-old woman under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. She is being held at Store Street Garda Station.
