A Dublin city councillor says an 81-year-old homeless woman was discovered on O'Connell Street last night.
Christy Burke says she had been discharged from hospital without anywhere to go.
Homeless services were contacted and the woman was put up in a hotel.
Councillor Burke has criticised St. James's Hospital where she was discharged from; 'It's unacceptable given the fact that she was homeless and had nowhere to go. I don't know if they knew she had nowhere to go but I'm sure she was down as an 'NFA' - No Fixed ABoad'.
