Dogs Trust say they're receiving about eight calls every day from people who want to give up their pet.
In fact, they've received more surrender requests this year than the entire amount for 2020.
The charity says it's a result of the "pandemic puppy boom".
Last year, when people worked from home, many purchased a pup for company.

But now, as the return to office beckons, some owners are left struggling to cope with their pet's abandonment issues.
Head of Communications at Dogs Trust Ireland Ciara Byrne says dogs often give hints their experiencing anxiety.
"The don't know how to occupy themselves or their overly attenuative to their owner's presence."
Ciara says if this behavior isn't managed it can escalate.
"It can lead to toilting in the house or destructive behavior".
"Eventually, it gets to that stage where owners think 'I can't do this anymore' and we don't want to get it to that stage."
