More than three-quarters of fines for breaches of covid-19 regulations have been issued to people between the ages of 18 and 35.
Around 6,550 of them have been issued so far, with over 4,900 of those people being fined 100 euro for non-essential travel.
5,784 fines that have been processed so far, while around 770 are currently being checked by Gardai.

Gardai have revealed that around 46 per cent of fixed penalty notices have been handed out on weekend days.
So far, almost 500 fines of 150 euro have been issued to people attending house parties.
116 fines of 500 euro have been handed out to people organising the parties.
The Limerick Garda division has handed out the highest number of fines, with 614 issued in the county.
