70 thousand homes are without power this morning because of overnight storms.
Strong winds have caused extensive damage to the electricity network, and crews are working to restore supply.
The damage is concentrated mainly in the South and West of the country, but there are outages elsewhere.
More than 500 individual faults have been recorded.
