A 51 year old man has died after being stabbed in Smithfield in Dublin.
The man was discovered at an apartment complex at Ormond Square at around 2.30 this afternoon.
He sustained a number of stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene by Emergency Services but died a short time later.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.

A knife was recovered from the scene and gardai are continuing to question a man in his 30s over the incident.
