Almost 52 thousand more people have been paid the pandemic unemployment payment this week.
More than 295 thousand people were issued the payment today.
11 thousand people who were working in the accommodation and food sector made a PUP claim since last week - with around 90,000 of them now in receipt of the payment.
This week's payments have cost the state €85 million.
That marks an increase of €20 million since last week.
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys the latest figures reflect the economic impact of the decision to move to Level 5.
Meanwhile, 211 thousand people were recorded on the live register at the end of September.
