Kids as young as 8 are spending up to two months of the year online.
That's according to Cyber Safe Ireland, which has surveyed 4,000 eight to 13-year-olds as part of its latest annual report.
The charity found 9 in 10 children in Ireland now own a smart device while more than 1 in 10 are spending more than 4 hours a day online.
Thirty-six percent of 8-year-old boys and forty-three percent of 10-year-old boys are also playing over-18s games and being exposed to violent and sexual content that isn't appropriate for their age.
The charity has also highlighted that 43 percent of children are speaking to strangers online, with a third of them speaking to strangers every day or at least once a week.
