A new Cabinet committee will meet today to discuss the coronavirus outbreak, as 33 cases of Covid 19 are confirmed across the island of Ireland.
Two new cases were confirmed in the Republic last night, bringing the total number here to 21.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has this evening been informed of two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.— Department of Health (@roinnslainte) March 8, 2020
They include a man in the south and a woman in the east.
In the North, the Department of Health identified five new cases last night, bringing the total number to 12.
Three people have now died in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus.
The latest patient, a man in his 60s, suffered from underlying health conditions and had recently returned from Italy.
Meanwhile, many Italians tried to move out of the worst-affected area after a Government document, showing 16-million people would be quarantined, was leaked.
