Barbeque season is fast approaching, but health experts are warning that there are over 3,000 calories eaten by the average person at a BBQ.
That's way over the daily recommended intake for of 2000 calories for women and 2,500 for men.
The figures in the Irish Daily Mail are based on one burger and bun with cheese, two hot dogs, two chicken drumsticks and a corn on the cob and don't include sauces, salads and alcohol!
People who want to stay healthy at barbeques are being advised to keep an eye on dressings, limit their alcohol intake, don't overload your plate and sit away from the food to avoid snacking.
