Three people have been arrested as part of a joint Garda / PSNI investigation into dissident republican activity.
A 19 year old man and an 18 year old woman originally from Dundalk were arrested in Forkhill area of South Armagh. They are being detained by PSNI.
Meanwhile as part of the same operation into the formation of a new IRA alliance, gardai detained a 43-year-old man in the Kilcurry area of Dundalk.
He is being questioned at Drogheda Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
