A 27-year-old man has been shot dead in Dublin.
The shooting happened in Inchicore at around 10.30 this morning.
A lone gunman is believed to have approached the 27 old victim as he walking along a green area near the Luas line on Davitt Road in Inchicore.
The man - who was known to Gardai - suffered at least one gunshot wound to the chest.
He died at the scene where his body remains.
A car - believed to have been used by the gunman - was found on fire in the Rialto area shortly afterward the gun attack.
The location has been sealed off for a technical examination while the services of the State Pathologist have also been requested.
