A 23-year-old man who killed a young man during a fight in Co. Clare has been jailed for seven years.
Robbie Walsh of Island View, Kilrush, Co. Clare was cleared of Karl Haugh’s murder but a jury found him guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter.
He stabbed the father-of-one in the back during a fight at the Marian estate in the early hours of August 6th 2017.
His trial heard he wasn't the one who brought the knife to the scene but he admitted using it while grappling with Mr. Haugh.
The judge said one of the main aggravating factors was that he had previous convictions for using "offensive weapons".
