210 workers at a manufacturing plant in Co Kerry are to lose their jobs.
It comes after the BorgWarner factory announced it's to close its plant in Tralee.
The facility has been in the town for over 30 years.
In a statement, the company says "The primary driver of this decision is declining customer demand for the Air Heaters produced in Tralee, which no longer supports the need for a standalone manufacturing facility."
The company says in the event of redundancies it plans to provide a financial package and supports to the 210 impacted employees.
Anton Diaz, Managing Director of BorgWarner Tralee says "Today is a difficult day for everyone at BorgWarner Tralee. This facility has been part of this community for over 30 years and the leadership team is very grateful to all BorgWarner Tralee employees for their dedication and contribution."
The Company is very aware of the local impact this decision has on Tralee and will actively engage with employees and local community representatives to support however possible.
