The Football Association of Ireland says claims that up to 200 jobs at the association are under threat are unfounded.
SIPTU had said the jobs were at risk due to an "extremely precarious financial situation" at the FAI.
The Trade Union is now looking to arrange an urgent meeting with the Minister for Sport Shane Ross to discuss the matter.
However, the FAI says it is "both shocked and disappointed" by the SIPTU statement.
FAI President Donal Conway told the association's council today that there "is no threat to FAI Operations or to FAI staff".
