A teenager, who was killed in a road collision yesterday in Co. Leitrim, has been described as 'one of the finest young men' of his parish.
The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, after the tractor he was a passenger in crashed near Carrigallen.
It happened the on R204 at Aghavilla just after 3pm on Tuesday.
A second teenager, who was driving the tractor, was taken to Cavan General Hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
The section of road on the R204 remains closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Investigating officers have asked anyone who was travelling in the area, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday, with video or dashcam footage to make it available to them.
