A 14-year-old child has died from Covid-19 - becoming Ireland's youngest fatality since the pandemic began.
They're among 25 Covid patients who died in the week that ended on Tuesday.
Until now, a 17-year-old was the youngest to pass away.
The Health Surveillance Protection Centre report the oldest person to die was 105.
The average age of those who've died with the virus was 80.
5,566 people have lost their lives from the virus since March 2020, six of those under the age of 25.
