Over 130,000 people will get a tax bill of more than €1,000 today after receiving the government's Covid-19 supports.
The amount owed by anyone on the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme or Pandemic Unemployment Payment won't be due until next year.
More than 420,000 people who were on the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme or Pandemic Unemployment Payment are being contacted by Revenue.
According to figures released by Revenue last night, just short of 100,000 households that were in receipt of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment will receive a tax bill.
It said 22,000 owe between €1,000 and €5,000 with 100 households owing more than €5,000.
Some 77,600 households owe less than €1,000.
Nearly 198,500 households that were in receipt of the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme will receive a bill.
Revenue said 77,300 households owe between €1,000 and €5,000 with 200 owing more than €5,000.
Some 121,200 households owe less than €1,000.
Revenue said 121,500 households will receive a bill relating to both payments.
Some 32,600 owe between €1,000 and €5,000 with 100 households owing more than €5,000.
Some 88,800 households owe less than €1,000.
