121,900 people have now received their first dose of the covid-19 vaccine.
It equates to more than 2 per cent of the population, according to the head of the HSE.
More than 73 thousand front line healthcare workers have now received their first dose, along with almost 49 thousand staff and residents in long care residential care facilities.

The current plan is to have 142,000 people vaccinated by Sunday.
HSE CEO Paul Reid says residents in 589 long term care settings will have got their first dose by then.
The Health Minister says everyone in the country should be offered a vaccination by September.
